5178 Extensible solenoid

This item allows the study of the magnetic field generated by a solenoid, because it is possible to vary the coil number per length measurement unit. Once the magnetic needle has been positioned toward the earth field and the solenoid has been positioned in a perpendicular direction, the tangent of the needle’s deviation angle is proportional to the intensity of the magnetic field and, therefore, to the intensity of the electric current and to the number of coils per length measurement unit. To be used with generator code 5360.

It is possible to study the dependence of the magnetic field by the number of turns per meter using a magnetic field sensor.
